What can I use without buying a report?
Six free calculators work from quantities you enter: pitch, area, roofing squares, waste scenarios, shingle bundles and underlayment rolls. No account or payment is required. They do not measure a property or recommend a universal waste allowance. The report library contains clearly labeled synthetic examples.
Can I buy the contractor proposal workflow?
Not yet. A workflow using contractor-supplied quantities, prices and company settings is planned. The current proposal is a synthetic sample. Report imports, saved jobs, customer proposal delivery and electronic signatures are not included in a purchasable service.
How many square feet are in a roofing square?
One roofing square equals 100 square feet of roof surface area. Sloped surface area can differ from the horizontal footprint.
What waste factor should I use for a hip roof?
The allowance depends on layout, material system and installation details. Compare labeled scenarios, then confirm quantities against the selected product and project. A roof type alone does not establish a universal percentage.
How accurate are the measurements?
Every measured report carries a grade, the reasons behind it, and a list of what the imagery could not support. Until grades have been checked against independent measurements, no report is graded above C. RoofKarma publishes no accuracy percentage, because no measured scorecard has been published that would stand behind one. Where the evidence is too thin, the report withholds the affected figures and says which.
What does a report cost?
Nine dollars, plus applicable tax, buys one package for a supported building: Quick Squares and Full Roof Measurement together. Sales & Proposal Suite and Specialty & Trades are sample previews. For people who buy reports regularly there are two plans: Starter at $29 a month including 5 report credits, and Pro at $99 a month including 30. Paid annually they are $290 with 60 credits and $990 with 360 credits, issued upfront. One plan credit buys the same pair. Monthly included credits roll over for two more billing months while subscribed; annual credits expire at the end of the paid term. The paid package contains preliminary automated estimates without independent accuracy validation. Check coverage and verify measurements on site before use.
